On Thursday, November 19th, 15 local architects attended a one-day seminar here at the Reve Surfaces Showroom. Representatives from Olympic Stone & Marble, Lafarge North America, Pine Hall Bricks, Hebel, Pavestone, Schluter Systems, and Timber Holdings Int’l educated attendees on topics including green products, solving construction roadblocks, and proper use of specifications on plans. We learned about AAC (aerated, autoclaved concrete,) permeable paver systems, responsibly harvested hardwoods, natural stone pavers, proper masonry construction, and sophisticated waterproofing systems. Don Hooten of Decatur, GA was the grand prize raffle winner of a Brown Jordan loveseat. After the seminar, principles from local builders joined us for a Meet-and-Greet catered by Downtown Deli. This was the first time that many of these architects had seen our Reve Surfaces showroom and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
